Accidental Release
  1. An "accidental release" is defined as an unplanned or accidental discharge, emission, explosion, out gassing or other escape of any dangerous good. This also includes an unplanned or accidental emission of ionizing radiation that exceeds a level established by the "Nuclear Safety and Control Act".
  1. An "imminent accidental release" of dangerous goods in transport involves an incident where there is "likely" a need to remove or transfer dangerous goods to another means of containment, or there has been damage to the means of containment which could result in an accidental release.
