The PASS system can be a helpful reminder when operating a fire extinguisher:
- Pull the pin
- Aim low - point at the base of the fire
- Squeeze the handle
- Sweep from side to side, keeping the extinguisher aimed at the base of the fire
- Ensure you keep yourself situated between the fire you're fighting and your exit.
