Right To Refuse Unsafe Work
  1. Unsafe work is work that involves an "imminent danger". An imminent danger can be
    1. a danger that's not normal for that type of work, or
    2. a danger under which a worker in that type of work would not normally do the work.
  2. Workers must refuse to perform any job they believe would put them or their fellow workers in imminent danger.
    1. An example might be a situation where a worker is asked to enter or work in a trench that is more than 1.5 metres (5 feet) deep and not protected by either shoring or cutbacks. This situation poses an imminent danger.
If you believe a task will cause you or a fellow worker injury, you have an obligation to refuse to carry out the task.
